November CWT-Assisted Export Sales Nearly 27.6 Million Pounds

CWT member cooperatives secured 121 contracts in November, adding 27.6 million pounds of product to CWT-assisted sales in 2024. This is equal to 273.8 million pounds of milk in milk equivalent on a milkfat basis. These products will go to customers in Asia, Oceania, Middle East-North Africa, Central America, the Caribbean and South America and will be shipped from November 2024 through May 2025. 

Exporting dairy products is critical to the viability of dairy farmers and their cooperatives across the country. Whether or not a cooperative is actively engaged in exporting cheese, butter, anhydrous milkfat, cream cheese, or whole milk powder, moving products into world markets is essential. CWT provides a means to move domestic dairy products to overseas markets by helping to overcome U.S. dairy’s trade disadvantages.

October CWT-Assisted Dairy Export Sales Totaled 6.6 Million Pounds

CWT member cooperatives secured 63 contracts in October, adding 5.4 million pounds of American-type cheeses, 844,000 pounds of cream cheese and 388,000 pounds of whole milk powder to CWT-assisted sales in 2023. In milk equivalent, this is equal to almost 59 million pounds of milk on a milkfat basis. These products will go to customers in Asia, Central America, the Caribbean, Middle East-North Africa, South America and Oceania, and will be shipped from October 2023 through April 2024.

CWT-assisted 2023 dairy product sales contracts year-to-date total 41.7 million pounds of American-type cheese, 908,000 pounds of butter, 26,000 pounds of anhydrous milkfat, 7.8 million pounds of cream cheese and 39 million pounds of whole milk powder. This brings the total milk equivalent for the year to 751.6 million pounds on a milkfat basis.

CWT Assists with 1.5 Million Pounds of Dairy Product Export Sales

ARLINGTON, VA – Cooperatives Working Together (CWT) member cooperatives accepted 16 offers of export assistance from CWT that helped them capture sales contracts for 1.3 million pounds (573 MT) of American-type cheese, 88,000 pounds (40 MT) of whole milk powder and 187,000 pounds (85 MT) of cream cheese. The product is going to customers in Asia and Middle East-North Africa, and will be delivered from August through December 2023.

CWT-assisted member cooperative year-to-date export sales total 32.4 million pounds of American-type cheeses, 809,000 pounds of butter (82% milkfat), 24,000 pounds of anhydrous milkfat, 31.5 million pounds of whole milk powder and 6.1 million pounds of cream cheese. The products are going to 24 countries in five regions. These sales are the equivalent of 594.6 million pounds of milk on a milkfat basis.

ARLINGTON, VA – Cooperatives Working Together (CWT) member cooperatives accepted 14 offers of export assistance from CWT that helped them capture sales contracts for 181,000 pounds (82MT) of American-type cheese, 333,000 pounds (151MT) of butter and 679,000 pounds (308MT) of cream cheese. The product is going to customers in Asia, Central America and the Caribbean, and will be delivered from March through June 2023.

CWT-assisted member cooperative year-to-date export sales total 10.9 million pounds of American-type cheeses, 383,000 pounds of butter (82% milkfat), 17.8 million pounds of whole milk powder and 2.0 million pounds of cream cheese. The products are going to 16 countries in five regions. These sales are the equivalent of 254.2 million pounds of milk on a milkfat basis. Over the last 12 months, CWT assisted sales are the equivalent of 1.04 billion pounds of milk on a milkfat basis.

The products are going to 15 countries in five regions. These sales are the equivalent of 239.7 million pounds of milk on a milkfat basis. Over the last 12 months, CWT-assisted sales are the equivalent of 1.054 billion pounds of milk on a milkfat basis.
