CWT Assists with 483,000 Pounds of Dairy Product Export Sales
ARLINGTON, VA – Cooperatives Working Together (CWT) member cooperatives accepted seven offers of export assistance from CWT that helped them capture sales contracts for 84,000 pounds (38 MT) of American-type cheese, 132,000 pounds (60 MT) of whole milk powder and 267,000 pounds (121 MT) of cream cheese. The product is going to customers in Asia and the Middle East-North Africa, and will be delivered from October 2023 through April 2024.
CWT-assisted member cooperative year-to-date export sales total 36.4 million pounds of American-type cheeses, 908,000 pounds of butter (82% milkfat), 26,000 pounds of anhydrous milkfat, 38.8 million pounds of whole milk powder and 7.2 million pounds of cream cheese. The products are going to 25 countries in five regions. These sales are the equivalent of 696.5 million pounds of milk on a milkfat basis.

CWT-assisted member cooperative year-to-date export sales total 13.0 million pounds of American-type cheeses, 550,000 pounds of butter (82% milkfat), 2,000 pounds of anhydrous milkfat, 17.9 million pounds of whole milk powder and 2.7 million pounds of cream cheese. The products are going to 18 countries in five regions. These sales are the equivalent of 284.3 million pounds of milk on a milkfat basis.

The product is going to customers in Asia, Central America and the Caribbean, and will be delivered from March through June 2023. CWT-assisted member cooperative year-to-date export sales total 10.9 million pounds of American-type cheeses, 383,000 pounds of butter (82% milkfat), 17.8 million pounds of whole milk powder and 2.0 million pounds of cream cheese. The products are going to 16 countries in five regions. These sales are the equivalent of 254.2 million pounds of milk on a milkfat basis. Over the last 12 months, CWT assisted sales are the equivalent of 1.04 billion pounds of milk on a milkfat basis. ARLINGTON, VA – Cooperatives Working Together (CWT) member cooperatives accepted eight offers of export assistance from CWT that helped them capture sales contracts for 2.8 million pounds (1,250 MT) of American-type cheese, 2.2 million pounds (1,000 MT) of whole milk powder and 35,000 pounds (16 MT) of cream cheese. The product is going to customers in Asia, Central America, Middle East-North Africa and South America, and will be delivered from February through July 2023.
CWT-assisted member cooperative year-to-date export sales total 6.9 million pounds of American-type cheeses, 12.8 million pounds of whole milk powder and 346,000 pounds of cream cheese. The products are going to 12 countries in five regions. These sales are the equivalent of 159.9 million pounds of milk on a milkfat basis. Over the last 12 months, CWT assisted sales are the equivalent of 1.209 billion pounds of milk on a milkfat basis.

CWT-Assisted Export Dairy Sales Through August Reach Nearly 950 Million Pounds
CWT member cooperatives secured 49 contracts in August adding 3.0 million pounds of American-type cheeses, 882,000 pounds of butter, 344,000 pounds of whole milk powder and 344,000 pounds of cream cheese to CWT-assisted sales in 2021. These products will go customers in Asia, the Middle East, Oceania, Central America and South America, and will be shipped August 2021 through February 2022.
CWT-assisted 2021 dairy product sales contracts year-to-date total 34.1 million pounds of cheese, 12.7 million pounds of butter, 5.1 million pounds of anhydrous milkfat (AMF), 9.1 million pounds of cream cheese and 18.5 million pounds of whole milk powder. This brings the total milk equivalent for the year to roughly 945.1 million pounds on a milkfat basis.
Exporting dairy products is critical to the viability of dairy farmers and their cooperatives across the country. Whether or not a cooperative is actively engaged in exporting cheese, butter, anhydrous milkfat, cream cheese, or whole milk powder, moving products into world markets is essential. CWT provides a means to move domestic dairy products to overseas markets by helping to overcome U.S. dairy’s trade disadvantages.

CWT-assisted export dairy sales in June reach nearly ten million pounds
CWT member cooperatives secured 59 contracts in June adding 7.4 million pounds of American-type cheeses, 749,572 pounds of butter, 436,515 pounds of whole milk powder, 1.1 million pounds of cream cheese, and 231,485 pounds of anhydrous milkfat to CWT-assisted sales in 2021. These products will go customers in Asia, the Middle East, Oceania, Africa and South America, and will be shipped June through November.
CWT-assisted 2021 dairy product sales contracts year-to-date total 25.5 million pounds of cheese, 11.2 million pounds of butter, 7.3 million pounds of anhydrous milkfat (AMF), 7.9 million pounds of cream cheese and 17.2 million pounds of whole milk powder. This brings the total milk equivalent for the year to roughly 873 million pounds on a milkfat basis. All these products are scheduled to ship in the first eleven months of 2021.
