CWT Assists with 1.7 million Pounds of Dairy Product Export Sales
ARLINGTON, VA – Cooperatives Working Together (CWT) member cooperatives accepted eight offers of export assistance from CWT that helped them capture sales contracts for 1.6 million pounds (722 MT) of American-type cheese, 55,000 pounds (25 MT) of butter and 44,000 pounds (20 MT) of whole milk powder. The product is going to customers in Asia, Middle East-North Africa, Oceania, and South America, and will be delivered from May through November 2023.
CWT-assisted member cooperative year-to-date export sales total 18.6 million pounds of American-type cheeses, 594,000 pounds of butter (82% milkfat), 2,000 pounds of anhydrous milkfat, 24.6 million pounds of whole milk powder and 3.6 million pounds of cream cheese. The products are going to 19 countries in five regions. These sales are the equivalent of 392.6 million pounds of milk on a milkfat basis.
Assisting CWT members through the Export Assistance program positively affects all U.S. dairy farmers and cooperatives by fostering the competitiveness of U.S. dairy products in the global marketplace and helping member cooperatives gain and maintain world market share for U.S. dairy products. ARLINGTON, VA – Cooperatives Working Together (CWT) member cooperatives accepted four offers of export assistance from CWT that helped them capture sales contracts for 229,000 pounds (104 MT) of cream cheese. The product is going to customers in Asia and will be delivered from April through June 2023.
CWT-assisted member cooperative year-to-date export sales total 13.0 million pounds of American-type cheeses, 550,000 pounds of butter (82% milkfat), 2,000 pounds of anhydrous milkfat, 17.9 million pounds of whole milk powder and 2.7 million pounds of cream cheese. The products are going to 18 countries in five regions. These sales are the equivalent of 284.3 million pounds of milk on a milkfat basis.

The product is going to customers in Asia, Central America and the Caribbean, and will be delivered from February through June 2023.
CWT-assisted member cooperative year-to-date export sales total 6.9 million pounds of American-type cheeses, 12.9 million pounds of whole milk powder and 866,000 pounds of cream cheese. The products are going to 13 countries in five regions. These sales are the equivalent of 164.6 million pounds of milk on a milkfat basis. Over the last 12 months, CWT assisted sales are the equivalent of 1.1 billion pounds of milk on a milkfat basis.

The product is going to customers in Asia, Central America, Middle East-North Africa and South America, and will be delivered from February through July 2023.
CWT-assisted member cooperative year-to-date export sales total 6.9 million pounds of American-type cheeses, 12.8 million pounds of whole milk powder and 346,000 pounds of cream cheese. The products are going to 12 countries in five regions. These sales are the equivalent of 159.9 million pounds of milk on a milkfat basis. Over the last 12 months, CWT assisted sales are the equivalent of 1.209 billion pounds of milk on a milkfat basis.

ARLINGTON, VA – Cooperatives Working Together (CWT) member cooperatives accepted two offers of export assistance from CWT that helped them capture sales contracts for 1.2 million pounds (546 MT) of American-type cheese. The product is going to customers in Central America and Oceania and will be delivered from January through May 2023.
CWT-assisted member cooperative year-to-date export sales total 93.3 million pounds of American-type cheeses, 657,000 pounds of butter (82% milkfat), 30.7 million pounds of whole milk powder and 8.8 million pounds of cream cheese. The products are going to 21 countries in six regions. These sales are the equivalent of 1.168 billion pounds of milk on a milkfat basis.

CWT-assisted export dairy sales in June reach nearly ten million pounds
CWT member cooperatives secured 59 contracts in June adding 7.4 million pounds of American-type cheeses, 749,572 pounds of butter, 436,515 pounds of whole milk powder, 1.1 million pounds of cream cheese, and 231,485 pounds of anhydrous milkfat to CWT-assisted sales in 2021. These products will go customers in Asia, the Middle East, Oceania, Africa and South America, and will be shipped June through November.
CWT-assisted 2021 dairy product sales contracts year-to-date total 25.5 million pounds of cheese, 11.2 million pounds of butter, 7.3 million pounds of anhydrous milkfat (AMF), 7.9 million pounds of cream cheese and 17.2 million pounds of whole milk powder. This brings the total milk equivalent for the year to roughly 873 million pounds on a milkfat basis. All these products are scheduled to ship in the first eleven months of 2021.
Exporting dairy products is critical to the viability of dairy farmers and their cooperatives across the country. Whether or not a cooperative is actively engaged in exporting cheese, butter, anhydrous milkfat, cream cheese, or whole milk powder, moving products into world markets is essential. CWT provides a means to move domestic dairy products to overseas markets by helping to overcome U.S. dairy’s trade disadvantages.

CWT-Assisted Export Dairy Sales in May Top Six Million Pounds
The 58 contracts Cooperatives Working Together member cooperatives secured in May added 3.4 million pounds of American-type cheeses, 524,700 pounds of butter, 908,305 pounds of whole milk powder, 1.6 million pounds of cream cheese, and 4,409 pounds of anhydrous milkfat to CWT-assisted sales in 2021. These products will go customers in Asia, the Middle East, Oceania, and South America, and are being shipped May through October.
CWT-assisted 2021 dairy product sales contracts total 17.9 million pounds of cheese, 10.4 million pounds of butter, 7.1 million pounds of anhydrous milkfat (AMF), 6.9 million pounds of cream cheese and 16.6 million pounds of whole milk powder. This brings the total milk equivalent for the year to over three-quarters of a billion pounds on a milkfat basis. All these products are scheduled to ship in the first ten months of 2021.

CWT Assisted Sales in February Total 14.2 Million Pounds of Dairy Exports
CWT assisted member cooperatives in securing 64 contracts with sales of 5.2 million pounds of American-type cheeses, 3.9 million pounds of butter, 3.5 million pounds of whole milk powder, 1 million pounds of anhydrous milkfat (AMF) and 1.2 pounds of cream cheese. The product is going to customers in Asia, Central and South America, Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and Oceania. The product will be shipped during the months of February through August 2021.
These transactions bring the 2021 total of the CWT-assisted product sales contracts to 8.117 million pounds of cheese, 7.277 million pounds of butter, 6.495 million pounds of whole milk powder, 2.013 million pounds of AMF, and 3.530 million pounds of cream cheese. These contracts will move the equivalent of 368.4 million pounds of milk on a milkfat basis overseas in 2021.
Assisting CWT member cooperatives to gain and maintain world market share through the Export Assistance program, in the long-term expands the demand for U.S. dairy products and the U.S. farm milk that produces them. This, in turn, positively impacts all U.S. dairy farmers by strengthening and maintaining the value of dairy products that directly impact their milk price.
