NMPF Elects New Officer, Board Members

John Underwood, Northwest Dairy AssociationALEXANDRIA, VA – The National Milk Producers Federation has a new Vice Chairman, and three new board members, following the organization’s spring meeting earlier this week.

John Underwood (left) was elected the Third Vice Chairman of NMPF. Underwood is the President and CEO of the Northwest Dairy Association in Seattle, WA, and served on the NMPF Board prior to being elected as an officer of the association. Underwood’s election fills a previously vacant leadership position, and provides NMPF with a full complement of officers representing all milk-producing regions of the country.

The new Board members include: Mickey Childers of Somerville, Alabama, representing Dairy Farmers of America, Inc.; Dan Senestraro of Johnson, Kansas, also representing Dairy Farmers of America; and Jim Werkhoven of Monroe, WA, representing the Northwest Dairy Association.


The National Milk Producers Federation, based in Arlington, VA, develops and carries out policies that advance the well being of dairy producers and the cooperatives they own. The members of NMPF’s 30 cooperatives produce the majority of the U.S. milk supply, making NMPF the voice of more than 40,000 dairy producers on Capitol Hill and with government agencies.
